Story

Here at the salvation army, we believe in the old saying “it takes a village “and one of the aims of our summer events is to create a space where that village can be built. Every family deserves opportunities to connect and flourish and some good old-fashioned FUN! It was amazing to see the friendships and connections being built in a supported environment and to be able to create long lasting memories for families.

last year we were again able to offer a package of activities that included crafts, drop ins and community events at the hall BBQS games days and many dinners! Our kids club holiday club week was a huge success, and we had an amazing time getting to know the children. We even held our very own sports day in sevrington park. Most excitedly we were able to offer a number of local families a chance to join us on some amazing trips and activities that really made a difference to the summer.

we need your help to build on this for this coming summer and welcome any support and donations towards making a real difference to local families by supporting us to offer these opportunities, we seek to level inequalities strengthen families and build communities.
